If you have followed me and Steel City Vintage Watches closely for the past couple of months you have noticed that I have developed a strong proclivity towards Cartier .  More specifically towards the first generation Cartier Santos - the "Carree"  In French Carree means square. Very fitting given the watches shape and sharp edges. But I know, as with as with most things in life and especially with vintage watches, that first generation Santos is not for everyone. Today we're pleased to offer you Cartier's second iteration of the Santos line. The "Galbee"  which in French means round.  Its softer edges and more contoured case  sits on the wrist better and is without a doubt a closer cousin to Cartier's modern Santos offerings. To top this one off it comes with the original certificates, pamphlets and informationals that would have been offered with the watch at the time of its original purchase in the 1990s.

DIAL: The original, Ivory dial is in fantastic shape. The dial appears to be free of any staining, blemishes, scratches or otherwise imperfections. It features a blue Roman numeral dial and matching railroad track. The watch is complete by its original blue steel sword hands.

CASE: The 29mm x 41mm stainless steel case is is in great shape. It is a very strong case with original factory bevels still to be appreciated throughout and strong crown guards. The watches case is completed by its original blue caboche crown.

MOVEMENT: Quartz movement keeping wonderful time as you'd expect. 

BRACELET: Fits up to a 7 inch wrist.
