The classic caliber 12.68z is well finished. It was right there amongst the fine high production manual-wind movements which lends to the reasoning why the brand decided to produce the movement in various iterations for over two decades. Its these mechanical, hand-wound movements with their sub-second configuration that harkens back to the class, purity and charm of that 40's and 50's era. This example, with its 35mm case - which was considered large for its era - is representative of a time where class was exemplified by understated elegance. A "if you know you know" if you will.

CASE:  The 18kt solid yellow gold 35mm case is in great shape. The case may be unpolished. The facets on the lugs are very crisp and the original brushed finish on the posterior portion of all 4 lugs is still present. There is light wear to the case commensurate with age. The case lacks the traditional swiss hallmarks, casemakers stamp and standardized reference number from longines indicating that the movement and dial was exported from Switzerland into another country where the watch was then cased locally. 

DIAL:  The original white Longines dial is in fair shape. The dial sports alternating Arabic numerals and arrow hour markers. There is light specking throughout the dial with one blemish between the 8 and 9 o'clock hour marker as seen in the photos. The dial is completed by beautifully matching alpha hands. 

MOVEMENT: Longines caliber 12.68z,  mechanical manually wound, 18000bph, 41 hour power reserve. Watch is keeping good time. Service history is unknown.
