Omega introduced its Seamaster line in 1948. Today it remains Omegas longest continuous running production model. Originally it was released with the advertising catch phrase: "For town, sea and country." A nod to the intent behind the design. A watch that could go anywhere and do anything. Perfect for every type of occasion. The Omega Seamaster was introduced with the references 2577 and 2576 with center second or sub second configurations respectively. They were powered by bumper automatic movements - sometimes chronometer certified. They featured a variety of dial configurations with some exceedingly more scarce, rare and therefore coveted than others.

CASE: On this example we have an early, first generation, seamaster case. It measures 34mm  in diameter. It is considered a very strong case, with light polishing in the past. The case retains strong, original factory lines. The strength of the case is further exemplified when examining the case back of which the original circular brushing can still be appreciated. Because of how faint this was originally when it left the factory typically it is lost as a result of polishing.  The case presents with even wear throughout commensurate with its age. The crystal has been replaced some time in the past. It is completed by its original crown. 

DIAL: We have an original, beautiful silver dial that has taken a light cream patina to it over the age. The dial is in fantastic condition and appears to be free of any imperfections. It features dagger and Arabic style hour markers. 

MOVEMENT:  Omega bumper automatic caliber 354. The movement has just returned from service. The invoice will be provided with the sale of the watch and will come with a 1 year warranty. 

BRACELET: Will come on the brand new pictured strap.
