Cat’s Eye Rose Quartz Cabochon Ring set in 14k Gold. The highlight of this ring is a beautiful “Cat’s Eye” rose quartz weighing approximately 18 cts. Cat’s Eye is distinguished by its special phenomena known as “chatoyancy,” derived from the French saying for the eye of the cat (“oeil de chat.”) This effect resembles the slit of the eye of the cat and is caused by the reflection of light by vertical fibers, needles, or channels in the gemstone. This particular stone is large and spectacular measuring 19.4mm by 14.35mm.

The ring weighs 7.4 grams and is hallmarked 14k inside the ring. The ring is handmade and is in good vintage condition with light wear (consult pictures). All in all, a beautiful piece to be treasured for years.
