About the brand: Founded in 1921 in New York City - Benrus made its mark as a producer of fine watches. Importing Swiss movements and casing them in the City, Benrus found its way into specialized production very quickly, as by 1929 they produced the official watch for United Airlines. In the 1960’s - the brand really took off, and produced watches for troops in Vietnam, as well as many iconic dive and sport models such as the Ultra Deep and Type II.
