Omega introduced its Seamaster line in 1948. Today it remains Omegas longest continuous running production model. Originally it was released with the advertising catch phrase: "For town, sea and country." A nod to the intent behind the design. A watch that could go anywhere and do anything. Perfect for every type of occasion. The Omega Seamaster was introduced with the references 2577 and 2576 with center second or sub second configurations respectively. They were powered by bumper automatic movements - sometimes chronometer certified. They featured a variety of dial configurations with some exceedingly more scarce, rare and therefore coveted than others.
Of particular interest regarding this specific example is the case. The allure behind the reference 2577 is the characteristic lugs that earned the moniker "Beefy Lugs" from collectors. This example features an unpolished steel case that allows the buyer to enjoy all the glory that is a beefy lug Seamaster.

CASE: The 34mm stainless steel case is in great shape. The case has seen some light polishing in the past. The factory beveled edges on all four lugs remain crisp and intact. The case presents with light wear commensurate with its age. The crystal has been replaced some time in the past. It is completed by a the watches original crown.
DIAL: An original silver dial. The dial features dagger style hour markers with matching dauphine hands. The dial relatively clean for its age and presents with minimal patina, scratches, blemishes or otherwise imperfections.
MOVEMENT: Omega bumper automatic caliber 354. Service history is unknown. The watch winds, sets, runs and keeps good time. The watch was placed on a timegrapher which illustrated that it is keeping time between -10 and -13 seconds per day and has an amplitude of 245. The watch can be serviced for $325 plus parts if necessary. If serviced the watch will come with a one year warranty.
