Before the Tom DeLonge signature Stratocaster®, the Fender Custom Shop designed and built several prototypes. Among them, perhaps the most iconic was the brown and orange Strat® known as the “Padre”.
Other features include a stamped/serialized neck plate, signed and numbered certificate of authenticity, and a custom hardshell case inspired by the orange road case built for the original Padre. language on COA subject to change
- Custom “Padre”-Spec Neck & Body: Designed to recreate the look and feel of the original Padre neck, including a Modern “C” profile, 9.5” radius slab rosewood fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, vintage-style truss rod and ’69 Strat logo.
- Seymour Duncan JB Model™ Humbucker: Differing from Tom’s other Strats, the Padre features a Seymour Duncan® JB Model™ humbucker, for powerful lows, detailed highs and an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords.
- Stamped/Serialized Tom DeLonge Neck Plate: Each Padre Stratocaster will feature a unique neck plate stamped with the serial number over Tom’s original artwork.
- Fender Deluxe Locking Tuners & Strap Buttons: Fender deluxe locking tuning machines allow quick and easy string changes and provide improved tuning stability. Locking strap buttons add stage-ready security.
- Custom Hardshell Case: The included Fender Classic Series hardshell case features custom orange tolex and tiger stripe interior lining, a tribute to the custom road case built for the original guitar.
